If you are a dentist or clinic owner deciding which dental conferences deserve your time and budget in 2026, this guide gives you a dated calendar, a quick way to match events to your goals, and a checklist to get real value from the trip.
The table below lists national-level dental conferences with 2026 editions. Dates, cities and venues come only from organizer websites or official organizer channels. Where an organizer has not published a date that we could confirm, the table says so. Status is as of 29 September 2026.

Always reconfirm dates before booking travel, because organizers can revise schedules.
As of late September 2026, these national events are still ahead:
IACDE in Bengaluru is also listed for 2026. Its dates are still to be confirmed, so check the organizer page.
Yes. Mumbai hosted FAMDENT Show Mumbai in June 2026. The IDA has announced its World Dental Show (World Dental Conclave) for 17 to 18 October 2026 at Jio World Centre; confirm on the organizer site. The 50th AOMSI National Conference follows at the Jio World Convention Center from 19 to 22 November 2026. Mumbai-based clinicians can cover several events without long-distance travel.
A dental conference is built around a scientific program: lectures, hands-on workshops, paper and poster presentations, and CDE sessions, usually run by a professional body such as the IDA or a specialty society. Most national conferences also run a trade fair alongside.
A dental expo, such as the Expodent series, is built around the exhibition floor, where dealers and manufacturers display equipment and consumables. If your main goal is buying a chair, scanner or X-ray unit, read our guide to dental expos in India in 2026, including Delhi and Bangalore.
Start with the outcome you want, then filter by specialty, city and cost. Use this decision table.

A simple rule: attend your specialty society's national conference once a year for depth, and use one large multi-specialty event or expo for equipment and technology research.
Many IDA and specialty society programs are run as continuing dental education (CDE) activities, and credit points may be accredited by the relevant State Dental Council. Rules and point values differ by state and by event, so check with the organizer and your State Dental Council.
Costs vary by event, city and how many team members attend, so build a budget from the actual figures on the organizer's registration page. We have not listed registration fees here because they change with early-bird deadlines and membership status.

The chair-time line is the one most clinic owners forget. Two days away from a busy clinic is often the biggest single cost, which is why choosing the right event matters more than choosing the cheapest one.

Digital dentistry now appears across most conference programs and trade fairs. When you plan sessions and stall visits, look at digital radiography and CBCT, intraoral scanning, chairside CAD/CAM and 3D printing, and AI-assisted imaging and screening. Our guide to dentistry technology in 2026 explains what each tool does and which clinics benefit first.
AI in particular is worth understanding before you walk the floor, because vendors describe very different products with the same words. Our explainer on how AI dental screening works separates screening tools from diagnostic imaging software, so you can ask sharper questions at the stall.
If AI screening is on your list for a conference, treat the trade fair as a first look, not a buying decision. Ask every screening vendor, including us, the same four questions: how images are captured, what the report shows, what the system does not attempt, and how consent and data are handled.
scanO air is a visual oral screening device. It uses intraoral photos to produce a simple patient-facing report, which supports screening conversations at reception, at camps and in school dental screening programs. It does not diagnose, and it does not replace a clinical examination, radiographs or treatment planning; the dentist makes every clinical decision. Any screening workflow needs informed consent and data handling in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
The Indian Dental Conference (IDC), organized annually by the Indian Dental Association, is the IDA's national conference and covers all specialties with a trade fair. The 76th IDC was held in Mangalore from 6 to 8 February 2026. The IDA's World Dental Show in Mumbai is its large trade and scientific event, announced for 17 to 18 October 2026 at Jio World Centre.
The IDA had not published confirmed dates or a venue for the 77th Indian Dental Conference on the sources we checked in September 2026. Check the Indian Dental Association website for the official announcement before planning travel.
The 60th Indian Orthodontic Conference is scheduled at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from 4 to 6 December 2026, and the ISP Golden Jubilee National Conference is scheduled in Lucknow from 9 to 12 December 2026, according to their organizer websites.
Yes. The 50th AOMSI National Conference is scheduled at the Jio World Convention Center, Mumbai, from 19 to 22 November 2026. FAMDENT Show Mumbai was held from 12 to 14 June 2026. The IDA has announced the World Dental Show for 17 to 18 October 2026 at Jio World Centre, so confirm the final details on the organizer site.
Specialty society conferences are designed mainly for specialists and postgraduates, but many allow general dentists to register and attend. If you perform many procedures in one specialty, such as endodontics or implants, a specialty conference can offer more depth than a general event. Check the registration categories on the organizer's page.
Most national conferences run a trade fair where you can compare equipment and speak to dealers. For a purchase-focused visit, a dedicated dental expo often has more exhibitors. Use the event to shortlist and compare, then finalize the purchase after checking quotes, warranty and local service support.
Before your next conference, spend ten minutes on our explainer on AI dental screening, so you know which questions to ask exhibitors about AI claims, consent and data handling. If you want to see how a screening step could fit your reception workflow, the scanO team can walk you through it after the event.
