- What were your biggest challenges in diagnosing or presenting cases before using scanO?
There was often discomfort, fear, and apprehension among patients in the waiting area about what the findings might be. After introducing scanO, patients now get an overview of their issues, arrive mentally prepared for consultation, and already know what to discuss. They instantly receive a report, which builds trust, familiarity, and greatly enhances doctor-patient communication.
- How did you identify and communicate dental issues previously?
Earlier, everything was done chairside through clinical examination and intra-oral cameras. Patients could only see what we showed during the consultation.
- Were you using any PMS before scanO Engage?
Yes, we’ve used Bestosys for 6 years and continue to use it. We also use scanO Engage and it’s really mind-blowing.

Through Instagram, I(Clinic head) personally saw it in this clinic.
- What motivated you to start using scanO?
It promotes digital dentistry, improves conversion numbers, boosts efficiency, and makes diagnosis and documentation extremely accurate and quick. It also engages patients, attendees, and even children in the waiting area.
- Which features do you use most often?
Data extraction from scanO Engage Analytics Dashboard. Our tele-calling team uses it to advise treatment and schedule appointments. We also generate monthly reports from it. My manager continuously works on maximizing scanO Engage usage.
- Do you feel confident relying on the AI outputs?
Yes, absolutely. It provides around 99 percent accuracy and highly reliable reports.

- How has scanO changed the way you diagnose or plan treatments?
Doctor-patient interaction time has reduced. Since patients already know their findings, Doctors spend less time explaining, leading to shorter waiting times for others. Our goal was to reduce patient waiting time, and scanO is doing exactly that.
- Have you seen a reduction in time spent on examination or documentation?
Yes, examination time has reduced significantly, and we now use Bestosys for most of our documentation. scanO has streamlined the process further by reducing manual effort. We also use a few features of scanO Engage, which have simplified documentation to a great extent, especially data extraction from the Analytics Dashboard, which was earlier done manually in Excel. Now, all of that has become redundant.
- Have you seen any change in patient behavior or new case generation since introducing scanO?
Conversion rates have significantly improved. We’ve noticed a “1 + 1 effect” attendees accompanying patients often get scanned too. Sometimes they book consultations the same day, and sometimes our tele-calling team follows up later and converts them. Roughly 2–3 out of 10 scans convert, and about 50% of those proceed with treatment, depending on their oral issues.
