Dr. Srinath Reddy has been part of dentistry for as long as he can remember.
After decades in a high-volume, traditional practice where his family treated 100–150 patients daily, Dr. Reddy decided to open his own clinic in Nellore. But unlike his father’s era, the dental landscape had changed, more dentists were opening around town, patient flow was diffusing, and competition was rising.
That’s when he discovered scanO. Not through a conference or a sales call, but on Instagram.
In September 2024, Srinath Dental Clinic became Nellore’s first AI-powered dental clinic- powered by scanO.
Rather than restricting the device to his dental space upstairs, Dr. Reddy did something unconventional: He installed scanO AIR in the reception area of his wife’s dermatology clinic, located on the ground floor.
This cross-specialty placement created a steady awareness pipeline, attracting patients who had never planned to visit a dentist that day.
Initially, I kept the device in my clinic, but then I realized- patients who come here are already convinced. The real opportunity lies in those who never thought of visiting a dentist,”
Working in his father’s legacy clinic, Dr. Reddy’s days were relentless- hundreds of patients, minimal downtime, and barely enough time to explain treatment plans.
Now, patients walk in already aware of their dental conditions, having seen their scans and reports firsthand.
Patients are visibly intrigued by AI-assisted screening.
“AI is the latest fad, people believe what it shows them” he says with a smile.
By integrating scanO reports into his consultations, Dr. Reddy finds that trust and treatment acceptance have grown significantly.
In fact, patients now save their reports on WhatsApp, often sharing them with family and friends.
Over the past year, 20 new patients have visited his clinic directly after seeing their scanO reports downstairs without any external marketing or referral programs.
